Visit Hôtel van Eetvelde

On Saturday, 30 May 2026, the Academy is organizing a visit to the Hôtel van Eetvelde. This Art Nouveau residence, built between 1895 and 1899, was designed by Victor Horta at the request of Edmond van Eetvelde, then Secretary of State of the Congo Free State.

The visit will be conducted by both a French-speaking guide and a Dutch-speaking guide. The number of participants per guide is limited to a maximum of 15 people. We therefore kindly ask you to confirm your participation with the ARSOM secretariat no later than 15 May. Depending on the number of registrations, partners may also be able to attend the visit.

We will meet at the entrance of the building (2 Avenue Palmerston, 1000 Brussels) between 9:50 and 9:55 a.m. The guided tour will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will last approximately one and a half hours. Please note that the building does not have an elevator, and the upper floors are therefore only accessible by stairs.

Access
Metro: Maelbeek station (9-minute walk) or Arts-Loi station (12-minute walk);
Train: Schuman station (12-minute walk);
