Prof. dr. Geert Vervaeke (°1960) is Dean of the Law School of the Tilburg University (The Netherlands). He is also part-time Full Professor of the Faculty of Law and Criminology of the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) in the field of psychology and crime and psychology and law. At present he is the President of the European Association on Psychology and Law (https://eapl.eu/) and full member of the Belgian Royal Academy of Overseas Sciences (https://www.kaowarsom.be/). He is honorary president of the Belgium High Council of Justice, responsible for the external control of the administration of justice and for the selection, nomination and promotion of judges and prosecutors (2004-2012: http://www.hrj.be/en). He was also member of the board of the European Network of the Councils for the Judiciary (https://www.encj.eu/) and curator of the Scientific Program of the City Festival Op.Recht.Mechelen (2015-2017).
